Ventus 3 glider
thingiverse
Static model of an 18-meter plastic glider designed by Schempp Hirth is produced using Blender software. The .stl file from Blender was imported into Cura and scaled up to 5000% for large-scale printing. The wings are divided into three parts for easier printing, but links between the wings required some adjustment due to their size being slightly larger than needed. Sanding paper helped resolve this issue, while cyanoacrylate adhesive proved useful in securing the connections. As a beginner in 3D printing and specifically designing models for this purpose, I aim to refine the parts further and incorporate additional details such as side canopies and main landing gear through continuous learning and improvement. Recommendations or suggestions from experienced individuals on how to enhance the glider's design would be greatly appreciated.
