Venting Replicator Cover

This cover was made for my MakerBot Replicator, providing controlled heat evaporation inside and maintaining a consistent temperature above the plate. The removable top allows easy access to the printer when needed. Additionally, the entire unit can be lifted off for complete printer access. To create this cover, print four copies of each file. Cut two 1/16-inch thick pieces of any colored material, measuring 17.375" x 6", and two more pieces of the same size for additional support. For the clear top piece, cut a 1/16-inch clear material measuring 17.25" x 11.375". To prevent heat loss, create a notch in the back piece for cables and insert half a can or plastic jar over it. Optionally, add a powered LED hand-held light to the top, attached with Velcro, for improved print inspection under extruders. Finally, ensure a small gap around the perimeter of the top piece for heat convection, maintaining internal temperature stability even during extended printing sessions.
