Ventilator Y Connector - No Supports
thingiverse
UPDATE 02APR20: The connector successfully passed flow tests on an artificial lung with flying colors. Check it out in action here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q26rXmtEKhk&feature=youtu.be I managed to get my hands on ventilator parts to get accurate dimensions. Since the model my local hospital uses has one branch that differs from the others, I modified my parametric design accordingly. Additionally, I ensured it will print without supports to make production easier. The same rules apply: A doctor friend brought up a possible shortage of Y junctions for ventilator hoses, particularly if it became necessary to service multiple patients off one machine (as shown here: https://hackaday.com/2020/03/19/saving-4-patients-with-just-1-ventilator/). Feel free to use or modify as needed. Safety considerations: * Use at your own risk; neither I nor anyone else is liable or responsible. * 3D printed items can be porous and permeable. * It's recommended that you check the SDS of whatever you print for particulates and hazardous volatile compounds. * This solution will be inferior to similar parts from approved sources. * When moving the part from the print bed to a sealed container, pretend you have COVID-19.
