***PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS FOR RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY, AS CURRENT VENTILATORS ARE DESIGNED FOR INDIVIDUAL PATIENTS*** Adapter for 22mm tubing to allow four patients with similar ventilator requirements to be attached to the same ventilator simultaneously. Modeled after "T-piece" splitter technology. This design is best printed using materials such as ABS, nylon, PETG, PC, ASA, and other rigid yet non-brittle options. Studies are being conducted to assess the feasibility of utilizing a single ventilator to support multiple patients with similar requirements. Current arrangements employing t-pieces and extra tubing exhibit high resistance and high compliance, compromising the ability to effectively ventilate and oxygenate patients effectively. This design was developed as a low-resistance, low-compliance alternative that eliminates the use of multiple connections via t-pieces and lengthy tubing configurations. As such, this file is being released into the public domain for research purposes, with the intention of alleviating shortages of equipment to treat critically ill patients who would otherwise perish if no suitable equipment were available. Due to variations in printers, materials, and other factors beyond control, users must assume full responsibility for utilizing this product.
