Ventilation Tube Adapter

Ventilation Tube Adapter

Printing materials like PLA and ABS release unhealthy nanoparticles and leave an undesirable odor in your room. If you have a closed 3D printer, you can easily vent the contaminated air out of your room. Initially, I used tape to attach the tube to the printer, but the tape kept coming loose and didn't look very neat at all. So, here's my solution. This adapter connects a 100mm tube to a ~50mm hole. To create the hole in the printer hood, I used a holesaw. Make sure you drill into an attachment part like the hood itself, as attempting to drill through the wall is not recommended. Even if the wall is made of synthetic material, it absorbs forces and is an integral part of the structure. If you fail to make a clean hole, it can be difficult to replace. The tube is secured with an ordinary cord. Best regards, JJPM P.S. For controlling airflow, I used a sanitary fan and an AC dimmer. You can find these at your local hardware or DIY store.
