Ventilation for Protective Cloth - Paint Suit/Bunny Suit
thingiverse
Here is an adapter that allows for quick connection of medical air to your protective body suit or paint suit, also known as a bunny suit, enabling it to ventilate efficiently. I work in a large shop, specifically in the painting department, where extremely hot days require me to paint almost naked under my paint suit. However, now I have the option to install this adapter/quick connect to ventilate it conveniently. Simon's "Paint suit" hanging on his locker inspired this idea (great inspiration!). It's not really an invention because similar types of fixation have been seen before in other fields, such as medical or biomedical, but I'm unsure where exactly. I designed it to receive a 10 millimeter diameter pipe and when the two pieces (inside and outside) are screwed together, they don't hold the pipe securely. To fix this issue, I added masking tape to hold it in place and protect it from paint damage, as shown in the picture. You may need a valve to regulate airflow so that there is not more air in the ventilation system than in the mask for breathing purposes. I printed mine using PLA: 4 walls, 6 top/bottom pieces at a speed of 60 mm/s.
