Vent Fan Cover

Vent Fan Cover

The California winter has been treating my Christmas light power supply fans to an unusual work schedule, with hours upon hours of overtime in the warm and sunny climate. Unhappy with the existing vent for the enclosure, I decided to take matters into my own hands and design a custom vent fan cover that would provide a snug fit for both the fan and the box. To bring this vision to life, I opted to print the cover using both PLA and PLA+, a material combination that yielded some surprisingly pleasant results. The PLA+ in particular caught my eye, boasting a strength that left the regular PLA in its wake - it was significantly less brittle, making it a clear winner in my book. As if this weren't enough, I also decided to install a 12v fan that runs continuously, generating a cross breeze through the enclosure and doing wonders for the longevity of my power supplies.
