Vent covers for Zen Float Tent (v2)

Update: 2019-05-24 I've added a variant for the newer zen inflatable tank, which boasts thicker walls/vents. This design is based on measurements I received, but I haven't personally tested it yet. If someone prints a set and tries them out, I'd love to hear if the length turns out right. This improved vent cover is designed specifically for the vents on a zen float tent. The inner fins on the zen's vent cover have a tendency to break off, making insertion into the vent a bit of a challenge. To address this issue, I've created a version with heftier fins that are tapered at the end for easier insertion, as well as a central post that allows the inner cover to be inserted into the outer cover. The central post features a keyway that provides a closed and open position. In the closed position, the inner cover is pressed against the vent, helping to prevent humid air from escaping. Of course, you'll also want some airflow while floating to replenish the oxygen consumed by the tent. You can easily twist and pull the inner cover to move it to the open position, where there's a 10mm air gap for air movement. When installing these vent covers, start by inserting the one with fins on the outside of the tank, then insert the other one on the inside. I recommend taking a look at the keyway and getting familiar with the keyway mechanism before putting them in place, so you know how to move it between open/close positions and remove it when necessary. One potential drawback I've noticed is that it's tricky to remove the vent covers from the outside. You'll need to get inside the tent first and remove it from there.
