Vent-A-Hood Nylon Damper P1031 (ventahood)
thingiverse
This is a replacement for Vent-A-Hood nylon damper P1031. My original Vent-A-Hood fan above my stove had a damper that broke at the tabs during cleaning. This is a replacement for that damper. My first print was in Hatchbox PETG, but after about 3-4 months that warped so much to be unusable. So I do not recommend using PETG for this print. My second print was in ABS, but I just installed so not sure how that will hold up. If anyone remixes this, I suggest making it thicker and slightly bigger, it may prevent warping, have stronger tabs so they don't break, and function better. I designed it based off caliper measurements of original. But when I look at the damper, I notice it does not cover the hole completely. It can be improved by slightly increasing the size. Also, putting some weather strip around the edges would make a better seal. I live in California, so damper is not such a big concern I just went with this design. If you just want something equivalent to original this will do.
