HISTORY OF VENOMThe Venom Symbiote is a creature representing a race of alien parasites that live on the bodies of other life forms. The parasites provide their hosts with improved physical abilities, in exchange for the adrenaline that they take from them. If an unprepared person hosts the symbiote for a long time, the host may not survive this. The Venom Symbiote once belonged to the Klyntar alien race and earned the reputation of a madman among his race after he realized that it was more profitable to use the host for his own purposes instead of exhausting him. The symbiote was imprisoned on Battleworld so that he would not contaminate the genes of the race. His main host was Spider-Man, from whom he acquired the skill of climbing walls, shooting cobwebs, and spider sense.
