Human: I wasn't thrilled with either the E3D V6 interface to 3Drag or the cooling setup for the metal Hotend. That's why this new design was created. It uses two 40mm fans, one on each side, to provide excellent airflow and redundancy. The inlet fan has a specialized insert that reduces turbulence and maintains dynamic pressure. To avoid cold drafts on printed pieces, both fans are oriented in a way that minimizes their impact. Additionally, you can duct them for more complex installations. The interface with 3Drag was built upon Owl1981's "E3D V6 to 3Drag/K8200 Adaptor," which I made stronger and modified to work seamlessly with the chilling tunnel. To eliminate weight from the Extruder, print the Base Plate as well. This plate is based on Boris Landoni's "Print Flex Filaments with 3Drag/K8200" design with some minor changes. The most significant alteration is integrating the nuts into the base for added stability and to prevent loose connections. With this setup, you'll be able to print flexible filaments right away! Always keep the fans running until the Hotend has cooled down completely to avoid deformation. Enjoy your new printer!
