High-resolution vending machines now dispense parody treats, cleverly concealed within and beneath their surfaces. Every detail was meticulously crafted in Maya, with textures carefully applied using Substance Painter, Substance Designer, and Photoshop. A wealth of consideration went into the texturing process. Virtually every channel map was utilized in Substance to achieve the desired visual effect (color, height, roughness, normal, AO, metalness, opacity, SSS, curvature, position, worldspace normals, etc.). Masking and generators were frequently employed to create seamless gradients and transitions between materials. Designer played a key role in most damage/mask applications. Extensive research and thoughtful planning ensured the creation of a remarkably realistic end product. I'm confident that those parody treats will be thoroughly appreciated by all who interact with this vending machine. Working on this project was an absolute blast.
