Velux Hook Vileda SuperMocio Mop Adaptor
thingiverse
So if you're like me, you've just had an extension built and installed a Velux window. Then you realize the thing is just too high up - you need a pole to open and close it! Then you realize that the official pole costs over £30. Well, thanks to MForry and AIfredo, I've merged their contributions to bring you this: a Velux hook adaptor that you can put straight onto a telescopic Vileda SuperMocio mop pole. I know Asda has the Vileda SuperMocio mops on sale every now and again for like £5 each or less - if you don't already have one. I've only just mashed this design together in Tinkercad, and I haven't printed it out to test yet. Hoping to do that tomorrow. First test print is going to be in PLA, horizontally flat on the bed with supports, and 100% infill. It connects to the mop really well. Print broke when I tried to close the window, but it was standing at a bad angle since works are still going on. --------- Update VeluxV2 I'm not sure if it's just my filament, but the ones I've printed have all broken under strain. So I've remixed it using biober's hook version instead, and thickened it up as well.
