Users can use this component to replace the rope tensioner on Velux DKW, RFW, and possibly DKL blinds and shutters. The design has been improved in some areas as well. However, the part number could not be found for the DKW and RFW models because the manufacturer stopped supplying replacement parts a while back (the part number 8669 was used for the DKL series). Verify that the part is visually compatible before making any purchases.
