This Ceiling Fan / Light pull chain knob, handle, finial, fob is designed specifically for standard #6 (3.2mm) ball chains and will work perfectly with smaller chains if a #6 metal connector is used. This version of the print can be achieved without supports, resulting in only minor flaws on its chin. The outcome should be similar to removing supports altogether - it's up to your preference. To attach the chain, simply feed it through the top of the print and secure it with a standard #6 connector. If you don't have access to a metal connector, you can print the BALL-CONNECTOR.stl file provided. However, keep in mind that printing this connector in PLA may result in a tight fit. To use a string instead of chain, tie a large knot at one end and attach it to the print.
