The actual Velociraptor measured just three feet in length, a far cry from its menacing depiction on screen. In fact, the Velociraptors featured prominently in the blockbuster film Jurassic Park were not even true Velociraptors at all, but rather the dinosaur Deinonychus, a species that shares some striking similarities with its more famous counterpart.
