I installed a custom fan duct on my Vertex Nano printer. To secure the 12V 30x30mm fan, I used four M3x16 screws. Additionally, a small drop of hot glue helped mount the duct to the Y-carriage. To configure the software: Firstly, I connected the fan to the LED strip header and swapped the LED connector to the unused 12V header. Then, I modified the Marlin firmware to make the fan speed adjustable. You can adjust the FAN_PIN from 8 to 7 in pins_K8600.h. Don't forget to add a comment to the line "analogWrite(7, map(vertexLedBrightness, 0, 100, 0, 255));" in Marlin_main.cpp by adding // at the beginning of the line. Finally, upload the new Marlin firmware and you're ready to go.
