Here is a simple tool to help fine-tune the alignment of the xy carriage rods on your Vertex K8400 printer. To get the best results, make sure the xy carriage rods are as parallel as possible. To do this, print 2 copies of these designs and clamp them securely onto the rods. This will bring the rods into perfect alignment. After aligning the rods, tighten the pulleys and belts for a smoother printing experience. I created this design after needing to adjust it myself to ensure proper printing on my Vertex K8400 printer. I was forced to tweak the scale to achieve the correct results. Later on, I realized the importance of accurate alignment when I posted two photos showing how I first aligned my xy carriage rods by hand, as it wasn't possible at that time to produce high-quality prints without them being perfectly in line. The wood helpers used for initial adjustments were precision cut to match exact dimensions so both rods are symmetrical.
