Velleman Vertex K8400 Ikea Lamp Mount
thingiverse
This is the IKEA JANSJÖ LED lamp mount for Vertex K8400 printer, and I've made some modifications to get it up and running smoothly. The clamp was removed and the lamp has been permanently installed at the front of the left side panel, a design tweak that pays off in terms of functionality. Every part of this build is precision-crafted with a 0.2mm resolution, which results in crisp, high-quality details, along with an infill rate of 15% for added strength and durability. To get everything working together seamlessly, you'll need to replace the 8 M5 x 12mm socket cup screws with longer ones (20mm or 25mm) that will provide a more secure fit. I powered up the lamp using my trusty 24VDC power supply, which also handles the heated bed - a convenient feature that streamlines the printing process. One thing to keep in mind is that IKEA sells this lamp with two different power supplies: one has a 4VDC output, while the other puts out 7VDC. My particular unit came equipped with the 7VDC supply, so I had to get creative and use a 100 Ohm 5 Watt ceramic resistor to drop the voltage from 24V to 6.3V - a clever hack that makes it work beautifully. The STL file includes all six parts needed for this build, which should be separated in Repetier Host before printing begins. Here are the print settings I used: Printer: Vertex K8400 with E3D print-heads Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 15%
