I wanted to get my hands on a transparent door for my Velleman Vertex K8400 printer. This kit contains hinges, a no contact magnet lock, mounting clips with assembly time, and instructions to make the acrylic glass door itself. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BnveS9R1kpo Please scale prints up tenfold, since this is a Sketchup design. All measurements are in millimeters. For those of you with access to any kind of CNC machine, there's a drawing of the door itself, kindly shared by wreutz on Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2317942 Instructions Please check out the YouTube video for more instructions at http://youtu.be/BnveS9R1kpo Scale prints tenfold, as this is a Sketchup design. Cut out the door from 4 mm acrylic glass or similar. Use the front panel as a template. Cut the door no less than 1.5 mm smaller than the opening in every direction, since it's mounted flush with the front panel. File down the edges to smooth them out. Polish to make them shine. The hinges are attached to the front panel using two M5 x 16 mm hex socket screws, two M5 washers, and two M5 locking nuts. The hinges are fastened to the hatch with four M5 x 12 mm hex socket screws, and two M5 locking nuts. Two ø10 x 2.5 [mm], neodymium magnets are needed for the lock, along with two M3 x 10 mm flat head screws, and two M3 locking nuts. Some PVA-glue is also necessary in the magnet compartments for a click-free operation. (Note: those of you with a Clas Ohlson shop nearby can get the right magnets at art nr 31-1467)
