Velleman K8200 z-axis wobble correction with linear bearings

Hello,\nI've been experimenting with various z-axis wobble protections on my K8200, but never felt fully satisfied. To create one that would run smoothly on LMM8 linear bearings in x and y while minimizing the package size without compromising stability or assembly, I set out to make a new design.\nUpdate: 8th July 2016\nI've printed and installed this wobble remover, and what a difference it's made! I should have made this specific change with the linear bearings long ago. -V2 is now available as I've identified some minor improvements to implement. I consider this version finished.\nUpdate: 28th July 2016\nPerfection can be the enemy of good enough, so I've created V3, which offers less play in rotation around z with an additional set of bearings. It works a little better and has improved design for extra movement compensation. Additionally, I've stiffened up the sidewalls.\nUpdate: 31st July 2016\nI made a mistake with bearing length - sorry about that - here's corrected V4 to grab!\nUpdate 16th December 2016\nV5 is now available, featuring eradicated flaws and updates for stability with a "bridge" requiring acetone solvent welding. I suggest using ABS due to its non-creep properties under load and lack of brittleness. PLA is harder but tends to deform over time.\nPrint Settings\nPrinter: Velleman K8200\nRafts: No\nSupports: No\nResolution: 0.1mm\nInfill: Should be around 25 to 30%\nNotes: For this specific part, I use a wall strength of 2mm, considering the whole z-axis weight is carried through it. A higher infill percentage would be beneficial.\nMaterial Suggestions:\nUse ABS as it's less prone to deformation under load and lack of brittleness. PLA is harder but has creep properties over time.\nPost-Printing\nClean up the parts, requiring 4x LM8UU for -V2 and 6x for -V4, along with 4 short lengths of 8mm linear rod.\nHow I Designed This\nThis design was created using OpenSCAD.
