Velleman K8200 controller board mount
thingiverse
I have chosen to alter the main controller board installation method today. Initially, it merely hung off the frame and was susceptible to short circuiting by the aluminium profile beneath. The board's security was also inadequate as only one edge was held with two tiny screws within plastic fixtures. I opted for jodbe's design (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:193965) that boasts a smart solution to manage wires by including built-in channels, eliminating wire protrusion and resulting in a flatter unit. To personalize it, I removed the fan's mounting points, trimmed the board's side and added two mounting points for my frame clips. Depending on the location on the frame, either the FULL (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:221362) or FLAT (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:225642) clip can be used.
