Velbon DF 40 Tripod Quick Release Mount

I got tired of changing the quick release mount when I wanted to change cameras on my Tripod. So I designed and printed additional quick release mounts (based upon the one that came with the tripod). I did keep the alignment hole to allow for a pin should your camera take one (and you wanted to add a pin to the mount). I made two indents on the surface of the mounting plate to allow for installation of 1/16" foam pad (craft pad that I purchased at WalMart). So I printed the mounting plate with supports for these indents. I purchased 1/4"-20 X 1/2" hex bolts at my local hardware store. I made a bolt cover to allow it to be easier to screw it into the camera with your fingers. I printed these at 100% infill as I wanted the strength (I did not want the mount to fail with a camera with a heavy lens attached.
