Vehicle's Exhaust System

Using PTC CREO parametric software, an automobile's exhaust system was modeled for multiple CFD analyses. The design encompassed a 4-in-1 manifold, collector, pipe, catalytic converter, and muffler assembly. Through CFD analysis, the gas flow path was studied, leading to exhaust system improvements. To mitigate flow separation issues, the catalytic converter's inlet pipe underwent redesign. However, part dimensions are generalized, and accurate results may require custom design efforts.
