Mercedes-Benz introduced a new naming strategy for its trucks, where the main one or two digits represent the gross weight rating of the vehicle, while the last two digits signify maximum horsepower in tens of horsepower. LP608 has a maximum total weight of 6 tons (13,000 pounds) and is powered by an 80 PS (59 kW) production engine, whereas the LP 1632 is a robust 16-ton (35,000 lb) truck equipped with around 320 PS (235 kW). The LP range turned out to be a highly sought-after product, resulting in a significant surge of 153 percent in German Mercedes-Benz sales within the heavy truck segment between 1965 and 1973. 3D MODEL DETAILS: The model consists of two separate meshes for the body and wheels.
