See blog post here: http://www.pinchofintelligence.com/3d-printed-vehicle-coordinate-system/\r\n\r\nIf you work with self-driving cars, you probably know about the vehicle coordinate system - also known as ISO 8855. This coordinate system is extensively described online, but it can be difficult to reason about it. Most people make a mistake once and remember that X goes to the front of the car, and Z goes up, but they seem to struggle with whether the Y axis goes to the left or right of the car. The same applies to roll, pitch, and yaw directions.\r\n\r\nThis is why I designed a 3D-printable car with the vehicle coordinate system as in ISO 8855 clearly marked on it. Starting with this 3D model of a Volkswagen Golf, I added over several iterations letters for the axes, their origin, and roll pitch and yaw directions. I also included lidars, which are essential for every self-driving car.
