Vego / Birdie Raised Bed Post Support & Garden Trellis System
thingiverse
I have been using 3d printed parts to add trellising to my Vego raised bed. I used standard garden stakes from a home improvement store which, in retrospect, I wish I had sealed somehow (maybe wax or paint). Two supports are used per stake (upper and lower) and I was able to use the standard Vego hardware. I also created a support for routing drip irrigation into the bed (either 1/2" or 5/8" I believe). I stapled trellis material to my wooden posts, but shade cloth, insect netting, or chicken wire (the original idea) could be used. I have a pivoting light system in my other files which can also be incorporated using standard 10" solar chinese lanterns. If you make the large plant support, I used these screw hooks linked below. They worked well to support additional fabric grow bags around the raised bed to further pack the grow area (I grew cucumbers on my first grow): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08HS4QXP1/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 This was the trellis material - just staple and cut as needed: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07NV6B1Z2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 It all seems to work pretty well and is super flexible. Enjoy! : )
