The Vega Interceptor, capable of flying both in atmosphere and space, is limited to interplanetary travel due to its inability to reach FTL speeds. Heat shielding for reentry is standard; however, most pilots opt for a more gentle entry at Mach 0.3 to minimize stress on themselves and their aircraft.
