Vectrex Joystick Retainer
thingiverse
This is a simplified Vectrex Stick Retainer - the component that sits between the box and metal casing, securing the shaft in place. My Vectrex stick had considerable play in the z-axis, so I designed a part with a deeper well to hold the ball firmly in position. The original retainer features tabs that click into the metal case, but I felt these were unnecessary and made the design and printing process more complicated. The four screws provide sufficient holding power, eliminating the need for the tabs. I've included the original FreeCAD file if you want to adjust the depth of the well to suit your own stick's requirements.
