Vector FC mount for Mini Talon
thingiverse
This is a custom mount for Eagle Tree Vector FC designed specifically for the Mini Talon. Vector can be securely clipped onto its rubber ball dampened mount, providing a smooth and stable platform. The Vector FC mount attaches to the removable shelf using standard gimbal rubber balls, ensuring a snug fit. To assemble the mount, screw it into the wooden frame that comes with the MT kit. Use the four corner pieces to attach the shelf inside your aircraft using M3 wood screws. For extra stability, you can glue them in place with either CA or Epoxy. Please note that the slot is designed to be a tight fit, so you may need to file down the grooves slightly for a secure connection. The main mounting plate should fit snugly onto the fuse wingbox to stiffen it and provide additional support. I've intentionally designed various slots and holes to allow for flexibility in mounting options, such as RX, PSU, or other components underneath. You can use zip ties, Velcro, or double-sided tape - the choice is yours. If there's enough interest, I may consider updating this design with a single plate Vector mount that eliminates the need for rubber balls and results in a lighter mount. In most cases, the damping balls are not necessary for the MT unless you have a severely out-of-balance prop. In that scenario, a neat Vector mount is probably the last thing on your priority list. When it comes to printing this clip-on mount, I recommend using soft materials like ABS instead of stiff materials like PLA for optimal performance.
