Vector Cube Battery Cap
thingiverse
My son's vector robot had a mishap and his cube battery cap came crashing down from the desk, and his dog decided it was a chew toy! Luckily, only the side that comes off for replacing the cube's batteries got damaged, so I whipped up this design to print a replacement for him! This model has two parts - the cube top is the main part. You can print it out and then use the existing metal battery contact from the original part, or you might need to rig one if you don't have the original (I did). The second part mimics the rubbery corners of the original cap. I printed them in TPU to give a soft, rubbery feel (just glue them on). I also included a PDF with the correct cube symbol that can be printed out, cut up, and pasted onto the part. They love me! They really, really like me... don't they?! If you enjoy my designs, please hit that like button and let me know. If you print this design, post a picture of your print! I love seeing how other makers bring their prints to life and how they use them. If my design helps out, consider tipping me to keep creating more! Keep comments relevant to the design or print, but feel free to ask questions or leave feedback!
