The most costly version of AvtoVAZ's series encompasses the VAZ-2105, VAZ-2104, and VAZ-2107; collectively known as Lada Riva in the UK and Lada Nova in mainland Europe. These compact Zhiguli brand cars were introduced in the Soviet Union in 1980 and later in various European markets through the early '80s, with sales featuring both sedan and station wagon versions. Currently recognized as Lada Classic series, they stem from Fiat 124's platform - a staple of AvtoVAZ since its establishment in the late '60s. Production in Russia ceased between 2010-2012; however, the Lada 2107 persisted in Egypt until 2015. This series ranks third in global sales after Volkswagen Beetle and Ford Model T, with an extended production run similar to Volkswagen Beetle, Hindustan Ambassador, and Volkswagen Type 2.
