I had an old VAX carpet washer with a handheld accessory and hose, but the adaptor required to connect it to the machine has been missing for years. This replacement part will work perfectly if placed in front of the long edge, blocking off suction from the carpet cleaner section. It works great for me, but use it at your own risk.
