The research article titled "Numerical Investigation of the Effect of Leading-Edge Tubercles on Propeller Performance" can be found here (https://arc.aiaa.org/doi/10.2514/1.C034845) and also here (http://www.iaeng.org/publication/WCE2018/WCE2018_pp586-595.pdf). The study compared the performance of three different blade configurations: helical with leading edge tubercles, a legacy VAWT, and Gorlov VAWT. All blades had the same diameter and span, with boundary layers uploaded, revealing that the helical configuration with leading edge tubercles was most efficient through the air compared to the other two configurations.
