Vastfire bike light mount reinforcement kit

There is a lot of break reports for the Vastfire 1600 bike light mount (note this light model is also sold under "Ebuyfire" brand). If you don't want to find your nice light exploded onto the ground, this kit will improve the reliability of the default mount. It should also work with the Vastfire 2600 as pictures show it uses the same mount as the 1600. The kit wraps around the original mount to add a second layer. You need 6x 30mm M3 screws and nuts to install it. Here are the benefits: if the original mount breaks your light will not fall because the original mount is enclosed into this reinforcement kit. because of the tight fit of the original mount into this kit, the energy from shocks will be transmitted to the kit. This means the original mount will less likely break. all the features of the original mount are kept: you can still slide the light on and off for usb charging (the unlock lever remains accessible), you can still use the light horizontal rotation setting, and you can still use the original tightening knob, even with the kit mounted. you can clamp the mount tighter to prevent the light from moving down due to bumps and vibrations: as the kit is pushing directly onto the 2 original mount jaws, you will find the tightening knob becoming loose as you tighten the 4 vertical screws of the kit. You can then tighten the knob again to obtain a tighter clamp. I recommand to try to share the tightening force between the default mechanism (knob) and the kit screws: this will give the best reliability for both. I recommand you follow the printing orientation of the pictures. The printing supports will be located at the inside of the model so the kit will look clean outside. Remove carefully the printing support using a blade to obtain a tight fit of the original mount into this reinforcement kit. Printing took 54min for the 2 top parts and 37min for the bottom part at 50mm/s with my kossel delta printer. UPDATE1: After reading more reviews with pictures showing broken mount I have seen a break type the kit won't prevent from as is: the platform where you slide the lamp can detach from the rest of the mount if the pivot (allowing horizontal rotation of the lamp) breaks. I have seen 2 reports of this type of break. The pivot is made of plastic and is the only link between the top platform and the rest of the mount. I have added 2 pictures showing how I have solved this by wraping a thin wire around the unlocking lever and then around the front horizontal screw of the kit. It won't prevent the pivot from breaking but at least if it does the light should not fall to the ground. The unlocking lever and the horizontal rotation feature remain usable.
