The necropolis of Fuente Álamo has yielded an extremely interesting collection of ceramics from various historical periods. This, combined with the diversity of tomb types documented during excavation, confirms that this space was used as a burial area from the early occupation of the territory around the 1st century AD to the Christian conquest of Córdoba in the 13th century AD. In quantitative terms, during its excavation, nearly 300 graves were documented corresponding to burials of diverse periods and chronology, of which nearly a hundred still retained furnishings and/or skeletal remains.
