Vase With Filament Lines
thingiverse
A spiral-patterned vase is produced using an additive manufacturing process that incorporates filament lines. The body of the vase features defined grooves where the filament pieces are inserted. For printing with a 0.4 mm nozzle and 1.75mm filament, I applied the following settings: Spiral mode, layer height at 0.2 mm, line width of 0.8mm, bottom thickness of 1.2mm, and a maximum speed of 20mm/s. Full cooling above the base was also enabled. These settings resulted in a relatively waterproof vase produced from PLA material. The source file for this project is attached as an SLDPRT file.
