Vase Monstrosity
thingiverse
I just D/L Alibre Atom 3D CAD SW for a free 30 day trial. I probably will buy it ($150 with no subscription) before the trial period is up - it is super easy to use if you have any experience with 3D parametric CAD and unlike AD fusion it is all filed on your PC not on the cloud. Also is much more like a proper accurate CAD system than fusion. I did D/L freeCAD but it looked a bit horrible after having used Inventor quite a lot and also a small amount of experience on SolidWorks. This model uses some of Alibre's advanced modeling features like lofting and the Helix tool. It wasn't really meant to turn into a single flower vase but that is where my inspiration took me. I will test out the assembly modeling and if I like that I will go ahead and buy. Renders are in Bryce 3D (green glass) and Keyshot (wood).
