Vase Mode Trash Can / Dustbin

Vase Mode Trash Can / Dustbin

thingiverse

I needed a one-of-a-kind trash can that wouldn't break the bank or require a treasure hunt, so I whipped up a design in Lightwave 3D in no time. This custom design is based on a modified vase mode. By slicing it with zero infill, four perimeters, and no top layers but five bottom layers, I was able to create a sturdy little trash can using PLA that's surprisingly effective. To bring this vision to life, it took about 0.5kg of filament at its full size, which measures approximately 203mm in diameter at the base and 320mm tall. However, keep in mind that you'll need a printer with ample build volume to print this design at its full scale. And let me tell you, I spent a total of 37 hours printing it out.
