Vase Mode, Snap-Fit Shower Shelf

Vase Mode, Snap-Fit Shower Shelf

prusaprinters

Our shower has grab bars but not enough shelves, so I designed this print to snap onto the bar and provide more shelf space. Works great!

Bars on my shower appear to be fairly standard: grab bar is 50mm away from the wall, and the bar has a diameter of 25mm. You might need to scale on the Z axis if your printer has less than 300mm capacity.

Prints strongly in vase mode using a 1.2mm extrusion width, 0.3mm layer height, with a 0.8mm nozzle on my Ender5Pro (stock extruder and hot end). Results in ~2.25mm finished thickness. Shown here in 3DFuel ProPLA, 230 on the nozzle, 60 on the bed. I have stock cooling, so I limit by prints to 10mm3/s. If you have a big nozzle and better cooling you can probably knock this out much faster.

Hope this keeps you from dropping the soap!
