Vase Mode Lamp Shade

The lampshade was getting old and ratty so I decided to try making a replacement. The inner connector has a slight taper and gets a pretty good friction fit, probably doesn't need to be glued. Being vase mode it probably won't hold up to a lot of abuse.

Connector slides onto lamp socket that's around 32-33mm.

Note: since this uses PLA you probably only want to use this with a cool LED bulb.

Print instructions

Category: Replacement Parts Print Settings

Printer Brand: Prusa

Printer: I3 MK3S

Rafts: No

Supports: No

Resolution: 0.3

Infill: varies

Filament: 3D Solutech & Prusament PLA Clear & Galaxy Black
Notes:

The connector was printed with 10% infill and a few top/bottom layers. The shade itself was printed in vase mode (0.3 layer height) with fan off and I put in a couple filament changes for the black trim on top/bottom. The top got a bit "thin/fragile" so you could trim off 8mm or so, or change layer height up there.
