Vase glas planter inlay
thingiverse
A small glass vase or water tray for regrowing items such as garlic and spring onions, which dislike being submerged in water except for their roots. Once the plants have grown sufficient roots inside the water, you can transfer them to a proper planter with soil. For example, cut approximately 2-3 cm of the stem along with the roots from a spring onion, then insert it into the vase so that the roots are touching the water. My regrown spring onions in the photo reached about 20cm in height within just two weeks. Printed using PLA without support; you may require support for the five poles with overhangs, but this model managed to print without it. Choose your infill preference (though it's not particularly necessary due to the small dimensions). The CAD file is a quick and dirty design. Feel free to modify it as needed using Sketch 1 and Sketch 3. If you need a print of this item, please send me a private message. I'm always happy to assist.
