The colossal vessel stands proud with its intricate patterns of leaves and braids, accompanied by a frieze featuring fifteen riders in full motion. Bearing an uncanny resemblance to the Attic marble funerary vases of the fourth century BC, this object likely held the remains of the deceased at some point. Discovered in Pergamum during Sultan Murad I's reign (1359-1389), it originally housed two alabaster urns overflowing with gold that are now safely stored within Hagia Sophia in Istanbul. Meanwhile, this particular vase is proudly displayed for all to see at the Louvre. This remarkable object is part of "Scan The World", a groundbreaking non-profit endeavor spearheaded by MyMiniFactory. Through this initiative, we're creating a comprehensive digital archive of fully 3D printable sculptures, artworks, and landmarks from across the globe, freely accessible to the public. Scan The World is an open-source community project, and if you have intriguing items surrounding you that you'd like to contribute, simply email stw@myminifactory.com to learn how you can be a part of this effort.
