Experimenting with twisting lofts in Onshape, cane up with this vase design. The print in the photos was scaled 125% in the Z direction only.

My spool was binding a bit at the end so the photo has shows some cracks in the layer adhesion.

Printed in glow-in-the-dark (very weakly) PETG from MakerGeeks. Was on sale, so can't complain to much.

Scaled might make nice LED tealight holders.

Timelapse of the print: https://youtu.be/8XWSvPbybXo

Print Settings

Printer:

i300 Pro

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Resolution:

0.25mm - 0.4mm nozzle

Infill:

0%

Notes:

Vase mode. 3 bottom layers. No top.
Yes, my printer has noticeable z-banding. It's a feature I wanted--yeah, that's the ticket.
(Ball screws shouldn't do this, and eventually will find a way to minimize it--taking suggestions.)

How I Designed This

No apparent twist feature n Onshape so working on some experiments using the lofting feature.

Category: Household
