Various bases for Kiox300 display adapter (Bosch SmartSystem)
thingiverse
The new Bosch SmartSystem allows devices to communicate via a serial bus connection. While a bike initially comes with a the remote control device and a Kiox300 display in the first place, you can actually chain more than two devices. So if you have bought for example the excellent SmartPhone Grip phone holder and replaced the Kiox display with your phone, you are missing now all the data that the Kiox showed you before. While the Flow app would display some of that data, you might want to use another navigation app altogether. You can, however, just add the Kiox in addition as a third device into the serial bus. You just need an additional Kiox adapter and one more so-called display cable (together around 35€ as spare parts). Then you just add the Kiox between the remote control (which is an end-device) and the motor, either before or after the existing SmartPhone Grip holder. I designed some different bases for the adapter that you can easily mount on the handlebar or the stem. They are much smaller than using a second one of the large original Bosch adapters. Probably one of them will fit your purpose. At least the “Universal” version will fit almost everywhere, however you’ll need to attach sufficient “rubber” underneath so that it stays safely in place. The adapter bases are mounted using two simple cable ties. Available Versions: - Handlebar 31-8: For standard handlebars with 31.8mm diameter - Handlebar 22-5: For the handlebar parts with ~22.5mm diameter (which is usually towards the end of a standard handlebar, close to the gear shift). - Cube Stem 31-8: This is exactly made for the 31.8mm Cube stem for mounting it centered below the SmartphoneGrip. This is kind of especially tailored to my Cube Kathmandu Hybrid 750SL, but probably fits elsewhere, too. - Quadlock: You can attach this base to an existing Quadlock adapter - Universal: This has a flat platform and cable and cable tie openings on all sides and can so be mounted wherever you want. It needs some sturdy rubber below to stay fixed, though.
