This is a simplified design of a variometer that should print more smoothly. The mechanism should also be simpler to wind. To complete the project, you'll need a conductive rod that's 0.25 inches long. You'll have to hand-drill holes for the wires. Since this was exported in millimeters, you'll need to scale up the design by a factor of 10 or increase it by 1000% to get accurate measurements.
