Variations on the Hexakisoctahedron
thingiverse
Some complex three-dimensional shapes described by British chemist AEH Tutton include a hexakisoctahedron, an icositetrahedron, and a triakisoctahedron. Tutton believed that diamonds frequently formed hexakisoctahedra but were generally too rounded to be confirmed conclusively. Consult "Crystallography and Practical Crystal Measurement", written by AEH Tutton in 1911, where Chapter XI, page 157, is the key source.
