Variable PSU Case
thingiverse
PLEASE READ: I made this PSU CASE with compactness in mind, printed it in PLA+ many times and felt extremely pleased with the results. This case is directly compatible with the well known 0-30v Variable PSU kit that you can easily find online, but bear in mind that power electronics may generate a lot of heat (specially in a linear psu like the metioned above), so the use of proper heatsinks and a fan cooler is a MUST. Also, depending on your cooling needs, the size may be a major limitation. Use this design at your own risk. MEASURES: L: 118.2, W: 97.8, H: 60.4 mm FEATURES: - 1x hole for a 40mm FAN - 2x holes for banana jacks on the back (input) - 2x holes for banana jacks on the front (output) - 2x holes for potentiometers on the front (volts & amps) - 1x hole for the ameter-voltmeter display on the front - 1x hole for a 3mm LED on the front - Stand/handle for a more comfortable positioning - Knob model included as well PRINTING: - Use supports for the bottom part of the case - DON'T use supports for the top part of the case, and print it upside down. - The other parts may be printed without supports, but consider using them if you think you may have any problem. - Print with 0.2mm res, and at a safe speed. IMPORTANT: Remember to ensure good adhesion and use glue if needed, otherwise warping may occurr since this prints take a long time to finish. I used a PEI bed, and Clear PLA+, so the adhesion was pretty good without the need of glue. Make sure to clean any imperfection before assembling the parts. All the parts together took around 14 hours to print at 50mm/s. So please be patient and have a happy printing!
