Variable Length Linkage - sweeping
grabcad
Designers are revisiting a 2014 concept with some tweaks, making it more presentable. The idea behind this updated design bears some resemblance to "Variable Length Linkage - swivelling", yet there's a distinct twist: rather than solely pivoting in various ways, it incorporates an element of sweeping motion that runs horizontally from the steering rack's edge while preserving a fixed distance between its hinge and tip, which hooks up with the steering knuckle. All of this occurs while allowing the steering rack to break apart vertically, offering versatility.
