The cost of a box or panel to create flats is not insurmountable, but the interest in doing so lies in the fact that it's possible to do custom work and build your own box according to your own constraints. The box requires adding an LED tape. The STL models provided are functional on my TS 80/480 telescope. The exterior diameter of the tube is: 104mm. The flat box fits very well into the tube. The OpenScad script allows you to modify the dimensions of the box. There are 3 parts to print: - the inner part which is the part that goes into the telescope, - the outer part that supports the LED tape, - the lid for transport. The Arduino-controlled box LED drive is optional. You can plug the LED strip directly into a 5V or 12V output. This depends on your ribbon!
